For much of her life Tania seemed to have it all – a wonderful
family, living faith and a successful professional life. She was ready to step
into her next challenge when her husband Guy’s terminal cancer diagnosis
changed everything.
This book is the beginning of Tania’s story through bereavement,
told through her words and poems. It is for you if you are still in those dark
days – you are not alone. You’ll find opportunities to smile and even in the
emptiness, there is hope for better times to come.
Tania says: “When I first told people about my book they gently
suggested I should wait five to ten years before writing, because they could
see the pain was still so raw, but I wanted to write it in the middle of the
storm. There are plenty of books that look back over grief, but few that write
from the heart of the indescribable loss of a loved one. I hope and pray people
who are grieving will read it and know they are not alone.
“It’s also for those who are standing alongside the grieving,
giving an insight into how best to help. You may be surprised at how some of
the smallest acts from others have made such a difference to me, both good and
bad.”
Sarah Abell, Co-founder, The Relationships Academy, says: “Tania
writes about her grief of losing her darling Guy with honesty, authenticity,
rawness, love and faith. She invites us into the backstage and in so doing
helps us to feel and understand her journey but also the process of grief more
widely. I’d recommend this book to anyone working through loss but also for
anyone supporting others through grief.”
Goodness only knows is released
on 23 June 2026, which would have been Tania and Guy’s wedding anniversary.
